Sir Elliot has released the 35-Band Mastering Vocal Equalizer, a freeware mastering effect in VST plugin format for Windows.

I would like to introduce Sir Elliot 35-Band Mastering Vocal Equaliser. Sir Elliot’s 35-Band Mastering Vocal Equaliser is designed for Mastering Engineers who need to focus on midrange frequencies within the 440 Hz – 1760 kHz range.

35-Band Mastering Vocal Equalizer is available for free download via Sir Elliot’s website (3.2MB download size, 32-bit VST plugin format for Windows).

The plugin is designed for defining the 440 Hz – 1760 kHz range in stereo mixes, especially for brushing up the vocals during the mastering stage. It can be used to bring out or tame certain characteristic vocal frequencies in a transparent way.

I haven’t written about Sir Elliot’s plugins in a while, but many people recommend them as high quality freeware, similar to Variety Of Sound stuff quality-wise. You’ll find loads more free goodies on the website linked above.
