MyLoops has announced the release of Trance Insights Vol. 1, a free template loop collection designed for uplifting trance music production and compatible with all major digital audio workstations.
We have just released a mini template for making trance music in the main DAWs available : FL Studio, Cubase, Ableton Live, Logic Pro, Studio One and Bitwig Studio. The template is uplifting trance and shows some of the basics tricks for making this style of music (bassline layering, EQing, delay, drums and so on). People can download it for free after creating an account at the Myloops website.
The template basically consists of a 16-bar arrangement which can be further developed into a full track or used as material for a buildup, etc. As pointed on the MyLoops website, the template will also come in useful if you’d like to learn some tricks of the trade when it comes to mixing trance music. By exploring the effect chains and other properties of the provided arrangement, you can easily figure out how to get similar sounds in your own tunes.
Please note that you’ll need to have NI Massive and LennarDigital Sylenth1 installed on your machine in order to load all the sequences included in the pack. In case you don’t own those two synthesizers, I think that you should still be able to get away with using a different synthesizer and programming your own patch on top of the provided MIDI sequences.
