Crypto Cipher has announced the release of Crypto Cipher Free Pack, a free collection of traditional Indian instrument sample libraries for Native Instruments Kontakt, Propellerhead Reason, as well as all samplers which can load WAV files.

Crypto Cipher has released Free Sample Pack, a free collection of Indian instruments and samples in Kontakt, WAV and REX formats.

The library contains 722 MB audio material, most of which was taken from Crypto Cipher’s various commercial releases. You’ll need NI Kontakt in order to use some of the sounds, but most of the samples are also available in WAV format which means that they’ll work in pretty much any freeware sampler out there.

The included samples are organized into seven different folders by type. The coolest part for me are the tabla loops, which have been recorded at 110 BPM and which sound absolutely great. I love the sound of tablas in general, they’re just so exotic and totally awesome. You’ll also find various percussive one shots and loops, traditional Indian vocals, and a collection of Indian string instruments.

Finally, the library contains a collection of totally weird vocal loops called Thunderous Voices Wave Samples, which sound like something that could easily be a part of a Scatman John tune. They’re cool though. I think I’ve never heard such vocal loops before.

To grab the samples, you’ll need to add the product to your shopping cart on the page linked below and proceed to free checkout. After you’ve registered for a free account, the download link will appear in your user area at the Crypto Cipher website.
