Marian Brezovan has released EU ProMixEQ-10A, a freeware 4-band parametric equalizer in 32-bit VST plugin format for Windows-based host applications.
This is the third freeware EQ plugin we’re featuring this week, following 2S EQ by 2nd Sense Audio and SL84 by SmackLabs. What makes EU ProMixEQ-10A stand out, though, is the fact that it was designed by a mastering engineer with over 10 years of professional experience. According to the info available on the product page, the developer’s intent was to create a “high-quality precise mixing equalizer” which will provide transparent, uncolored results.

Bot the filter and the parametric EQ section can be fully bypassed. The parametric bands cover different frequency ranges (low, low-mid, high-mid, and high) and provide ±15 dB of gain range with adjustable Q. The plugin also features a build-in preset manager.
Judging by the features alone, EU ProMixEQ-10A doesn’t really offer anything new compared to a dozens upon dozens freeware equalizer plugins that are already available on the market. Unfortunately, I’m having some issues with the download link provided by the developer, so I can’t test the plugin in my DAW (the downloaded ZIP archive seems to be corrupted).
The plugin’s stronger points, at least on paper, are the clean and easy to use interface, as well as the fact that it was developed to be as transparent as possible. If these are the qualities you’re looking for in an EQ, and if you’re still on 32-bit Windows, chances are that you’ll find EU ProMixEQ-10A to be useful. Please note that a valid email address is required in order to receive the download link. Hopefully you won’t have the same download issues I’m having.
EU ProMixEQ-10A is available for free download via OnlineMasteringStudio (90 kB download size – probably the reason why the downloaded archive is corrupt, ZIP archive, 32-bit VST plugin format for Windows).

onIt should be a photo of the download link. Not sure why EU did it that way, but that’s how it is, Lol. Good luck!

onScratch that, Free Download Manager seemed as if it was going to start downloading but in the end, the link was a dud just as you say. I will contact EU and let them know; hopefully they can fix the problem.
