Studio Machina Releases SL-500 Free Slew Rate Limiter VST Plugin

Studio Machina has released SL-500 and SL-501, two donationware slew rate limiter effects in VST plugin format for Windows (free to download and use).

I describe the SL-500 and 501 as multi-band slew rate limiter and parametric saturator. The range of tones that you can coax out of this thing is impressive, but we have been using it mostly for it’s ability to add organic depth and body to recorded material.

SL-500 and SL-501 are available for free download via Studio Machina (donations are welcome – more info here).
