Dual Mic Dual Cabinet by AfroDJMac.
AfroDJMac has released Dual Mic Dual Cabinet, a free Ableton Live rack which takes Live’s Amp and Cabinet effects to the next level.
I was recently recording guitars and tried using Ableton’s Amp and Cabinet FX to give it a more realistic sound. As I was considering how I ordinarily mic my guitar, I thought it would be nice to have the option to use two microphones.
Dual Mic Dual Cabinet is available for free download via AfroDJMac (a working email address is required to get the download link).
The rack extends the features of Ableton’s Amp and Cabinet effects by mixing two instances of these effects together. This way, it’s possible to emulate a setup which consists of two different cabinets and microphones.
In other news, AfroDJMac has recently released Wind Chime Ambience, an EP which was created with samples from hand crafted metallic wind chimes. The wind chimes which were used as the samples can be seen in this YouTube video.
