Francis Prève has released a set of seven Ableton Live instruments, based on the Mopho X4 synthesizer by Dave Smith Instruments.
Since my previous downloads have been a tad on the smooth side, I decided to explore the grungy, filthy aspects of the X4 – resulting in seven Simpler instruments that really show what it can do.
The instruments are available for free download via Francis Prève’s website (13.7MB download size, contains 7 instrument patches for Ableton Live Simpler).
Please note that Ableton Live v8.1.5 or higher is required in order to used the Simpler patches. If you don’t own Ableton Live, you can still use the WAV files which are located in the Samples folder.
DSI Mopho X4 is a modern analog subtractive synthesizer developed by Dave Smith Instruments. Francis used it to create some more aggressive and dirty sounds for this sample collection.
