Boscomac has released Freezbee, a free Native Instruments Reaktor ensemble which “freezes” the audio signal on the input port.
FREEZBEE is an effect that freezes an incoming signal. A buffer stores a few seconds of sound and keeps it in the air as long as you want. Originally designed for guitar, Freezbee works with any mono source…
Freezbee is available for free download via Boscomac (408kB download size, contains one effect in Native Instruments Reaktor ENS format).
Please note that you will need the full version of Native Instruments Reaktor in order to use this effect without any limitations. The sound will time-out after 20 minutes in Reaktor Player.
The effect itself is very interesting. It can be used to quickly transform any sound into an eerie soundscape/drone and works very well for adding background atmosphere to solo instruments.
