Boscomac has released Vertigo Wave, a freeware NI Reaktor ensemble inspired by an early electronic musical instrument called Ondes Martenot.

VERTIGO WAVE is an instrument that provides an approach of the Ondes Martenot. Four tones (faithful to the true model) are proposed: Onde, Nasillard, Complexe, Octavian.

Vertigo Wave is available for free download via Boscomac’s website (433kB download size, contains 1 instrument in ENS format for NI Reaktor).

The ensemble is inspired by the Ondes Martenot, which is an electronic musical instrument invented in 1928 by Maurice Martenot. The early versions of the instrument were very reminiscent of a theremin, however the concept was later further developed.
