There’s probably not much to say about NI Reaktor that you don’t already know. It is a complex modular environment which can be used as a platform for building all sorts of virtual instruments and effects. There are tons of free user-created Reaktor ensembles out there and also some incredibly powerful commercial products.
Some of the freebies which are not to be missed are the ones by Boscomac, as well as this fully featured Minimoog clone by ZooTook. Those are just the tip of the iceberg though, as the user community is incredibly talented and creative, spawning loads of interesting devices each month.
