Beatmatch has announced the release of 909 Grooves, a free Ableton Live audio project based on a set of Roland TR-909 drum machine samples.
909 Grooves is a free Ableton Live project created using the sounds of Roland’s classic TR-909 drum machine. Included project files consist of 8 techno drum groove presets, separated into 5 individual channels with 40 sequences total.
Please keep in mind that you’ll need to have Ableton Live installed on your machine in order to use the provided project file. The project is also optimized for use with Launchpad and similar MIDI controllers. If you don’t own a copy of Live, you may still want to download this freebie pack in order to grab the included WAV files. All loops from the project are included in WAV format, so you’ll be able to use them in any DAW.
The project file contains 40 drum loops in total, spread across 5 individual channels (one channel for each drum element). The included drum patterns were designed for use in techno tunes. All drum sounds come from the iconic Roland TR-909 drum machine.
