Subscribe To Beat Magazine For €4.99 And Get Ozone Elements

29

The latest issue of the Beat Magazine (a German magazine about music production) comes with an Ozone Elements license. You can purchase the current issue of Beat Magazine online for €4,99 (plus VAT) to get the bundled software or choose one of the monthly subscription options.

We recently featured a $29 deal on Ozone Elements but you can now get this excellent mastering toolkit for even less cash. Beat Magazine has launched an online subscription service which also provides digital access to the bundled software and soundware. In other words, by subscribing to Beat Magazine, you can now download the bundled software (in this case the Ozone Elements bundle) from their Plugs & Samples website. Your licenses will remain valid even after your subscription expires.

Depending on your requirements, you can purchase the latest issue of the magazine or pick one of the three different subscription options:

  • Gold (€4.99 per month) is a 3-month subscription option which grants you access to digital downloads of Beat Magazine DVD.
  • Platinum (€5.99 per month) is the same as Gold, but with a 12-month subscription period and access to all back issues.
  • Platinum+ (€6.99 per month) is the same as Platinum, but you also get twelve digital (PDF) editions of Beat Magazine.

So, if you only want to grab Ozone Elements, simply purchase the latest edition of Beat Magazine online. If you also want the following two issues of Beat Magazine, the Gold subscription should be your choice. If you want to access the previous issues and stay subscribed to Beat Magazine for a full year, choose one of the Platinum subscriptions. You will also gain access to a great little collection of software and soundware, including the Focusrite Red Suite, FXpansion Geist Lite, Synapse Audio Dune LE, and more.

Keep in mind that the pricing listed above is on a monthly basis. So, if you choose the Gold subscription, you will have to make three monthly payments of €4.99 before your subscription expires. Another thing to note is that Beat Magazine is published in German. You don’t need to understand the language if you only want to install the bundled software, though. The instructions are available in English and the download repository is easy to navigate.

  1. Hi Tomislav. I think the subscription price quoted is per month. Not sure if that’s entirely clear in the article. Also, I seem to be having trouble subscribing. For me it complains about not entering my email address, but I can’t see a field for that on the form. Hopefully they’ll fix it soon.

Good point, I updated the article to better reflect the fact that its a recurring monthly payment. As for the email address, could it be a browser issue?

Is that 4.99 euro a month for 3 months equalling about 15.00 euro for three months or is it 4.99 euro for 3 entire months?

Yeah, I just found out that you don’t need to subscribe if you only want Ozone Elements. I will update the article right away.

  3. I got it with the purchase of just the one magazine download for €4.99 plus VAT. Thank you so much for the heads up, it’s a great sounding plugin (the clean, transient-aware maximizer is extremely useful!).

  4. HOLD IT RIGHT THERE, please… You don’t need to “subscribe” to anything.
In fact, there are a couple flies in the ointment!

You can buy the one magazine individually and then proceed to get the license code regardless. But there is a huge caveat – and it is finally written so in the magazine now itself: The license codes are time limited. Meaning, they’re usually not available anymore starting the next month (so early September). This is usually written in the “Download info” page, so it’s not in-your-face big. But you finally know that you’re on a timer and should mass activate everything rather than sit things out.

You can order one specific issue as well, no need to go the subscription route

Falkemedia (the distributor) are a bit cheeky however – in fact, the whole BEAT Magazine is very ropy in that area. You can only get a “print” version (which comes with the magazine and the DVD – but will take a while to ship internationally), a Download Version (which is only the PDF) or an ISO (which is only the disc).

The catch here is, that the licenses are all distributed via their own service called “Serial-Center” (via http://www.serialcenter.de), which also needs a “registration with a valid mail address” and a confirmation that this mail is working as well (then you need to re-request the licenses!). But you do need the magazine because the Serial-Center asks for several key words from the issue in question to be inserted as safety mechanism. Think old video games where you needed the manual as “password system”.

You do need the DVD however if you want the sample content and the bundled custom BEAT versions! BEAT always insists that the Serial-Center does offer you updates and all that kind of jazz, but this is just not the case. If you activated a license for (let’s say) DDMF (The Strip) or even Synapse (Dune BE) back in the days, but you don’t have the ISO where the installer is on it, you’re out of luck. The devs usually do not have the magazine related version (been there!).

In case of this recent magazine deal however, you only need the magazine (as password “book”) and the Serial-Center. Ozone 8 Elements and(!) Applied Acoustics Systems Ultra Analog Session can be downloaded via iZotope and AAS respectively.

  5. I managed to get the Ozone Elements serial. But living in Singapore, this country isn’t an option, so I had to use fake name and address generators set to Germany… and having to go through hoops in German which I don’t understand at all. But I finally got the key and it works.

Yeah that’s the problem I had, Marcus. There’s no ‘United States’ option either so I decided to just skip the deal – which sucks as I’d really wanted this. Glad you were able to get it working for you though!

  6. I am seeing the price as 6.99 Euros and it adds a percentage at checkout as VAT (from what I can make out, since I don’t understand German).

How are you guys able to see 4.99 Euros? Is it a region specific price?
I am viewing the link from Mumbai.

    • Ok. So I went ahead with the purchase and reached checkout. The price came down to 5.04 Euros so that was ok.

However, after submitting my payment information on the final page the page just refreshed and asked me to enter my payment details again. I am not sure what happened. Did my first order get through? I checked under “My account” and there was no order listed yet. So am wondering if I should try to enter payment info again. But also worried about getting billed twice.

Thank you to anyone who can advise.

  7. purchased and downloaded the pdf, but cant get past the question they ask on serialcenter.de. i get “Sorry, the answer is wrong.”

    • ok figured it out, it was because i was using the english version of serialcenter.de. switched to the german version and no problem.

  8. I don’t mean to keep asking but, I don’t have a serial for ozone elements, I went to a place where they ask you what is the second word on page 38, and when I got it right they sent me an email only to activate my account or something but no serial. I got the pdf, I don’t know where to look.

I made a mistake and bought the DVD and magazine seperately for 5 euro each. But it works and I’ve just activated the software.

  11. Same here, bought the magazine, got the serial number and when I register my copy of Ozone Elements the authorization says that the serial is in use by another user. Anyone managed to solve it?

  12. I just realized this post was changed. I read i had to subscribe for at least 3 months. Now i have spent 10€ more because of bad article.
Anyway i still love this blog.

Yikes, sorry to hear that! Unfortunately, I sometimes make silly mistakes like that when writing new posts but thankfully the readers do correct me in the comments section more often than not. I apologize for the inconvenience.
