2B Played Music has released 2B Clipped, a free distortion plugin based on the distortion and filter engine from their popular 2B Filtered plugin.
Included with the plugin is also a High Pass and Low Pass filter (from 2B Filtered) before the drive stage, and opening up the distortion over halfway turns it into a soft-clipping distortion to boot, meaning that it can also function as an overdrive.

The interface is very clean and minimal, with only the bare essentials and nothing to distract you from complete (or understated) destruction. Everything is easy to read and understand, and you’re always only a few clicks away from getting the sound you want.
The only downside there really is to speak of is the fact that the plugin is not resizeable, though whether or not that’s an issue depends on your personal setup. As mentioned above, the GUI is compact and tight enough that this might not affect you at all.
To download Clipped, you’ll need to head over to 2B Played Music’s website, add the plugin to your cart, and then proceed to checkout. You will have to provide your names, address, and email, however, so keep that in mind if sharing these bits of personal information isn’t something you’re comfortable with.
2B Music Played Clipped is available for Windows as both a VST2 and VST3 64-bit plugin.

onNice plugin but turning dials with a mouse is horrible. Mouse isn’t that great to make circular movements.

onHi! The knobs are smarter than they look. Users can grab the circle and move the mouse up or down. This also makes a circular movement.
