Seaweed Factory has released Elephant Organ, a free collection of audio samples captured from a cool circuit bent toy organ.
I’ve placed another free sample pack on my blog. This time it’s a multi-sampled circuit bent toy I’ve dubbed the Elephant Organ. Lots of squarewave goodness.
Elephant Organ is available for free download via Seaweed Factory (8.8 MB download size, ZIP archive, contains 69 audio samples in 24-bit WAV format).
The sample pack is hosted on Google Drive, so it might be a little tricky to download all the samples at once. To do this properly, visit the page linked above, follow the download link and then choose File >> Download from the menu.
The pack contains a selection of samples recorded from a square wave toy organ, which was modded with a pitch control. On higher pitches the synthesis engine of the toy organ breaks down, and these broken notes are included in the sample pack along with normal samples. Elephant Organ features 7 multi-sampled standard patches, as well as a collection of 20 glitch sounds.
Seaweed Factory has been sampling come pretty cool stuff lately and releasing the material as free sample packs. I especially enjoyed their Casio PT-10 and Casio SK-1 sample collections.
