Nezquik has released Nezquik Vocal Sample Pack 1, a neat free collection of home made raw and processed vocal phrases, chants and some weird vocal SFX.
The sample pack was released in celebration of reaching 300 followers on SoundCloud. This is the first freebie sample pack released by Nezquik and he has announced that we can expect to see more free stuff from him in the future.
The vocals were recorded in Nezquik’s home studio and they’re grouped into two different folders inside the download pack. One folder contains the unprocessed vocal recordings, while the other one features a set of heavily processed vocal samples. Both the raw and processed vocal samples included in the pack have great potential and I’ll definitely be keeping these on my hard drive. I’ve always been a huge fan of DIY sample packs such as this one. Although it’s not the most elaborate vocal sample pack in the word, it contains some very cool short vocal phrases which are always great to have at your disposal.
Although I do prefer the raw samples folder (contains some useful vocal chants like “doh!”, “ohh!”, etc.), it needs to be said that some of the processed vocal samples are also pretty neat. The pitched down vocals are spot on and the bitcrushed lo-fi samples really sound as if they were sampled from some old Nintendo video game. Here’s looking forward to more similar packs from Nezquik in the future!
