Lost Glitches - Free Glitch Sample Pack By Noizefield

Lost Glitches is a brand new free sample pack coming from Noizefield Instruments, sporting a collection of glitchy percussive sounds which were made using a modular synthesizer.

Let me say right away that this is my favorite freebie coming from Noizefield so far. They’ve released three really fine freeware virtual instruments this year (4 Tune being my favorite one of the bunch), as well as some cool free sound banks, but this latest free sample pack of theirs is right up my alley. I’m a big fan of glitchy sounds, modular synthesizers and nicely organized freebie packs such as this one.

The included samples sound really nice (this depends on one’s taste of course, but you’ll definitely like these if you’re into glitchy/noisy type of stuff) and they’re conveniently organized into folders so that you won’t have to spend an hour browsing through a bunch of files with generic names. There are five folders inside the download pack, categorizing the sample content into kicks, snares, hi-hats, toms and bass sounds.

Keep in mind that these aren’t your classic EDM style drum sounds and percussion. The included samples are oriented towards more experimental music styles, but also any genre of electronic music which can be matched with aggressive and noise drum hits. I’m guessing that most glitch hop, dubstep and future garage producers out there would definitely find some good use for these samples. Of course, you can always watch the demo video (embedded below) in order to preview the included sounds before actually downloading the pack.

The pack contains 499 samples in total (where the heck did that one sample go?! :P), all of which are provided as 32-bit WAV files. Sadly there are no SFZ or NKI mappings included, but it shouldn’t be too hard to make your own sampler patches for these samples since they’re really well organized and easy to browse.
