75 Free Female Vocal Samples Released By Ghosthack (WAV)

Ghosthack has released Free Female Vocals, a freely downloadable collection of royalty-free female vocal samples in 24-bit WAV format.

The pack contains 25 different vocal phrases, each available in three different versions (dry, wet, processed). This adds up to 75 vocals in total, which are organized into folders by type. The recording quality, as well as the processing, was done very well. The processed and wet vocals are mix-ready, although you might want to choose the dry samples instead if you prefer adding your own reverb and other effects inside the DAW.

As for the genre, I could see these being used in everything from hip-hop and trap to all sorts of electronic music and IDM. Most of the included samples are short vocal phrases which can be chopped, repitched, or otherwise edited in your sampler or audio editor of choice. Unfortunately, the pack doesn’t come with any patches for samplers like Kontakt or SFZ, but creating custom mappings for these sounds shouldn’t be too hard.

The included vocals were performed by four different singers, which you can tell apart by the number at the beginning of each filename. The samples were handpicked from Ghosthack’s commercial pack called Ultimate Vocal Library (currently on sale for €29,99) which contains 720 vocals in total.
