Get Studio One Prime – Pro Plugins Bundle For FREE ($19.95 Value)

PreSonus is offering the Studio One Prime – Pro Plugins Bundle completely free of charge for anyone who completes the Studio One Prime survey until August 3rd, 2018.

Studio One Prime is the freeware version of the flagship Studio One digital audio workstation by PreSonus. Although the free version of Studio One does come bundled with a set of useful native effects provided by PreSonus, its biggest disadvantage is the inability to load VST plugins. You will need Studio One Professional for that. However, you can now extend the power of Studio One Prime for free by adding the Pro Plugins Bundle which contains additional PreSonus mixing tools.

To get the Pro Plugins Bundle for free, you’ll simply need to fill out a one-page survey about Studio One Prime. There are eight questions in total and it literally took me less than a minute to complete. So, if you’re planning on using the free version of Studio One in the future, it’s definitely worth the effort. The Pro Plugins Bundle contains the following effects:

• Pro EQ
• Compressor
• Limiter
• Gate
• Room Reverb

Pro EQ became my go-to equalizer ever since I shifted to Studio One Professional as my main DAW for mixing and mastering. It is one of the best equalizers I’ve ever used and I keep coming back to it on every new project. I’m not a regular user of the Room Reverb effect but it will definitely come in handy for Studio One Prime users. Limiter and Compressor are both fantastic tools and will turn your copy of Studio One Prime into a far more capable digital audio workstation. Gate is another tool that I don’t use very often, but it is a well-made noise gate that you can use to remove unwanted hum and noise from your recordings.

I still recommend Studio One Prime as the best freeware DAW for absolute beginners. It is a great tool for singers/songwriters who want to record their voice and instruments without using virtual synthesizers and third-party effects. With the addition of the Pro Plugins Bundle, you’re getting a well-rounded platform for recording, mixing and even mastering your demo projects.
