U-He Colour Copy Delay Beta Is Free To Use Until August 14th

U-He has published the release candidate beta version of Colour Copy, their forthcoming delay effect in VST, VST3, AU, and AAX plugin formats for PC and Mac.

Colour Copy was first announced at Superbooth 2018 (you can check out the demo by Viktor from U-He at the top of this page) and is getting very close to the official release. The team at U-He came out with a release candidate yesterday and is aiming for August 14th as the release date. In the meanwhile, you can use the beta version completely free of charge by entering the temporary serial number provided in this KVR Forum thread.

The temporary username is [beta tester] and the temporary serial number is [B1UPT-DTNQ-AA9M-5XQ6-VKTA] without brackets. Enter these credentials when launching the beta version of Colour Copy for the first time to unlock it until August 14th (or whenever the plugin gets officially released). Of course, it will be a bummer when the beta version expires but you can create a bunch of swells, drones, and other sound effects with Colour Copy until then and save them as samples for later use. Think of it like borrowing a great piece of studio gear from a friend for a couple of weeks. Better get the best out of it while you can!

Colour Copy is a delay effect intended for sound design. It features modulation, saturation and various coloring modes in the feedback circuit, ducking, and a bunch of other goodies. It is somewhat based on the old bucket-brigade delays, but with numerous upgrades and modern features. The latest beta version comes with factory presets which show off Colour Copy’s most important features, so be sure to take it for a spin if you’re looking for some instant sound design inspiration.

Colour Copy is available for free download via KVR Audio until August 14th, 2018 (23.4 MB download size, ZIP archive containing EXE installer, 32-bit & 64-bit VST/VST3/AU/AAX plugin formats for Windows & MacOS).
