T-RackS Quad Compressor multi-band compressor effect is offered as a free download for everyone who subscribes to IK Multimedia’s mailing list until February 14th, 2018.
IK Multimedia has announced that the T-RackS Quad Compressor plugin can be downloaded completely free of charge by anyone who joins the company’s mailing list. No additional purchase is necessary in order to obtain the download link. Both the existing and newly subscribed users will be able to use the effect in the freely downloadable T-RackS Custom Shop plugin.

The plugin’s audio processing engine features four optical compressor modules, each one targeting a separate, user-definable frequency band. The target frequency range for each module is defined using variable slope filters which sound transparent and musical while avoiding phasing issues at higher slope settings.
Multi-band compressors like the T-RackS Quad Compressor are often used on the master bus for balancing the overall frequency response of the song. However, they can also be used for processing individual audio tracks with more complex sound sources such as acoustic drum kits, layered vocals, and more. When an audio source contains a highly dynamic element in a specific frequency range, that’s when a multi-band compressor will do the trick of leveling out the dynamics without affecting the rest of the signal.
To download your free copy of the T-RackS Quad Compressor, subscribe to IK Multimedia’s mailing list by February 14th, 2018. If you’re already subscribed, visit your user area on IK Multimedia’s website for further info on how to obtain your free copy of the plugin. Please note that you will need to install the freeware T-RackS Custom Shop plugin which is a hefty 1.1 GB download. Once installed, launch the Custom Shop plugin and press the “Restore My Gear” button to activate T-RackS Quad Compressor. You will also need to install the IK Multimedia Authorization Manager or update your existing installation to the latest version.
T-RackS Quad Compressor is available for free download via IK Multimedia (1.1 GB download size, 32-bit & 64-bit VST/VST3/AU/AAX plugin format for Windows & MacOS).

onAnyone else literally unable to figure out how to download and actually authorize this? Cause I have like 4 things installed on my computer now and it STILL is telling my my plugin is not authorized.

I see. It just took me a couple of reinstalls and re-auths.
1. Go to online shop.
2. Log in.
3. Download….Shop Program
4. Open Plugin
5. Open Shop
6. Log In
7. Navigate to shop authorization.
Good lord. Go to your products to download another shop to authorize your products. Who thought this was a good auth method!?

onWhere’s the shop authorization? When i opened the custom shop it said I’m allowed to access the comp but i can’t find this shop authorization :S and it doesn’t show up in my products thru their site :S

onBased on all that, is IK’s products not a bunch of snakeoil? I mean, what ik product is low on cpu and great sounding? And T-racks… how good is it? Had a fender vst years back of thiers… I still don’t know if it was worth it since i was such a noob!

onWhile I haven’t used every single IK Multimedia product, the ones I’ve tried so far have been great. I use SampleTank quite often when composing and their iLoud Micro Monitors are my go-to portable speakers.

onCustom Shop claims I own it now, but derp if I can locate the mother-muffin installer. Literally every other product I have is on my account page with an installer link but this one.
I do love some of the AmpliTube stuff, but golly garsh what a huge hassle it is riding the IK train. Sometimes wish I’d never jumped on it in the first place.

onThere’s no installer for the compressor itself as far as I could figure out. It simply installs with the other Custom Shop plugins.

onKind of bloating imo also kind of sucks you need to install the whole shop thing to us this one. #looks pretty fine actually. FREE BLOATWARE though.
