Air Music Tech Launches Jura Analog Softsynth Plugin (50% OFF)

1

Air Music Tech has just introduced Jura, their new analog softsynth plugin, and it’s available at 50% off at Plugin Boutique until June 13th (you will also receive a free Moog plugin if you purchase via Plugin Boutique).

You may be asking yourself if this is just another virtual recreation of a classic hardware synthesizer, in this case, the infamous Roland Juno.

Well, this may not be the case.

Jura aims to fit into a modern music production studio with the sound of yesterday and the features of tomorrow, to quote the slogan of the plugin.

The sound of the ‘80s has found a renaissance in the last decade, with many radio hits by the likes of Charlie Puth, Tame Impala, Dua Lipa, and The Weeknd, to name a few.

A very cool feature of Jura is its seamless workflow integration with AKAI MPC/FORCE standalone versions, where you get complete touch control of every parameter of the virtual synth.

Regarding the user interface, it is separated into two panels: the original Juno-style front panel design plus an extended, modern UI that gives you all the modern enhancements for further tweaking possibilities.

The VCF now includes saturation and drive parameters, along with two DCO types, modern and vintage. There’s a second envelope, too, not found on the original hardware synth, to help you shape the sound more precisely.

Jura also comes with an expanded LFO section. It offers Ramp Up, Ramp Down, Triangle, Sine, Square, Positive Square, Random 1, and Random 2.

Where the original Juno shined was in its signature, luscious chorus effect.

In Jura, you get two types of chorus effects, like in the original, plus an added mix control to blend the desired amount of effect.

To finish off the sound, there’s a powerful effects collection consisting of Delay, Reverb, and EQ. The Delay effect offers up to 2 seconds of delay time, with sync, filtering, and stereo width controls.

The Reverb features hi and lo cut, diffusion, damping, octave shift, and modulation, among other extensive options.

The EQ is divided into LOW, MID, and HIGH bands, where the MID is the most flexible one having a dedicated Q parameter.

Jura supports VST2 and VST3 Plugin hosts as well as full support for AU, AAX, and MPC/FORCE Standalone systems. It also requires an internet connection.

Get a 50% off discount on Jura at Plugin Boutique and get the Moogerfooger MF-108S Cluster Flux plugin as a free add-on.

  1. I am always for more synths, but I am not sure what Air Tech think about their price point, selling it at regular price £135 !?
When something like Cherry Audio DCO-106 is selling for just $25
