String Theory - Free String Sample Pack By Dark Side Of The Tune

Dark Side of the Tune has released String Theory, a free collection of synthesized string samples captured from various sound sources.

String Theory is a 37 sound library containing synthetic string samples. Many string patches were made by various means including FM, Wavetable, and analog synthesis.

String Theory is available for free download via SoundCloud (55 MB download size, ZIP archive, contains 37 audio samples in 16-bit & 24-bit WAV format).

The included sounds were synthesized using various methods including FM and subtractive synthesis, and slightly overdriven in order to achieve a more organic sound. The library contains a nice selection of synthesized plucks and bow-like sounds.

I must also mention the fantastic Volca Beast sample pack by Dark Side of the Tune which was released not long ago.
