Get UVI Digital Synsations For Free (Expires March 13th)

UVI is (once again) giving away the Digital Synsations sound library for UVI Workstation as a free download to everyone interested! The offer expires on March 13th, 2016.

Without much hype (without ANY hype whatsoever to be exact), this insanely good freebie offer popped up in a standard news round-up article on Attack Magazine today. I’m not sure if they’re keeping it low profile on purpose, but whatever the reason is, this offer is just too good to pass on if you’re a fan of classic nineties synthesizer sounds.

This article was originally published in March last year and then re-launched in June. The freebie offer for Digital Synsations is now active again, as announced on ~~EMusician~~ KVR Audio. Everything you need to know about claiming this free offer is explained below. Enjoy!

Digital Synsations is normally priced at $199 on UVI’s website and it’s currently available at a 25% discount which drops the standard price to $149.25. However, if you use the coupon code FREEDS at checkout, the price will be further reduced to $0 and you will basically get this huge collection of classic synthesizer samples for free. All you need is a UVI user account and a free iLok account (dongle not required). You will also need to install the free UVI Workstation virtual instrument in order to load and play the Digital Synsations sample library.

The offer expires on March 13th this year, so you’ll need to be ultra fast in order to grab this one while it’s still free. Obviously, at the time of writing this article, there’s less than 24 hours left to download your free copy of Digital Synsations. Simply visit the product page linked below and use the coupon code FREEDS in order to grab Digital Synsations as a free download. You will get your personal serial number which can be used for three activations. After this, the next step would be to register your free copy of the library to your iLok user account (you only need the online account, the USB dongle is not required) and download the library to your hard drive. The first step (going through the free checkout process on UVI’s website) is crucial, though, as you won’t be able to do this after March 13th!

Digital Synsations features 18,988 individual samples and 501 presets in total, capturing the iconic sounds of four legendary digital synthesizers of the late eighties and early nineties, namely the Roland D50, Korg M1, Ensoniq VFX and the Yamaha SY77. It is a dream come true for synth geeks such as myself. With the yesterdays release of the amazing free GameAudioGDC Bundle bundle by Sonniss, now is probably the right time to start saving up for that new hard drive.

      The coupon expired, unfortunately. UVI is based in France, so their timezone is different from the US, and they are a few hours ahead. I can confirm it was working, as I got the license transferred to my iLok account yesterday.

Missed it too. I would have thought ‘expires on the 14th’ meant it expires on the 14th, not the 13th. Oh well.

It is still March 14 in France. I guess the expiry kicked in the second March 14 started (or some random time). Usually the advertised expiry date means at the end of the stated date. Oh well…

    i sent uvi a message on the 14th as on the attack website uvi stated it ran all through the 14 march well got an email back this morning with a new code so now all downloaded and one happy bunny .. cheers for the heads up Tomislav and cheers uvi for the download

  @Tom: I was luckless with this, but thanks anyway for your awesome tips. As you just pointed out, this one not only was a very “fleeting” deal, it either had no hype at all.
  @Ric: The deal appears to be closed. It likely was limited to March 13th, or it could it be that it triggered a native 24-hour expiration date starting from the public post of it, or similar programmatic gimmick, who knows (UVI… I guess!).
  @Max: Unfortunately the library – albeit given as free to download for a few hours – has to preventively pass the activation process to work (and to be downloaded as well), I mean you have to provide a unique serial number and register your license on a personal iLok account.
  Ultimately I fear that the sharing expectation can be misleading, ’cause it will prove to be ineffective.
  Even I was disappointed quite a bit to miss this out, but well… that’s the game, next time it will get better!

We’re March, 10th, 3 days before expiration. UVI site says: You cannot use this voucher anymore (usage limit reached). I do not recall having used that voucher previously. A pity.

I was able to load the voucher successfully. Looks like there are a number of people downloading, so I got a message saying the download link may be intermittent. There it is, sitting in my product page waiting to be downloaded!!

It took me almost 2 days to download, and I have a high speed internet connection!! But it was worth it, it’s a beautiful sounding collection of eighties synth sounds. Good for synthpop and synthwave music.
