AfroDJMac has released Tape Hiss Vinyl Crackle, a free collection of Ableton Live tools featuring various recordings of tape and vinyl noises.
After dusting off what remains of my cassette tape collection, I started sampling empty sections of the tapes. I also took out some vinyl records, sampled those, and grabbed a few minutes of tape noise from my Tascam Reel to Reel. I’ve used those samples to create a pretty excellent Ableton Live Pack for you all!
Tape Hiss Vinyl Crackle is available for free download via AfroDJMac (a valid email address is required, download size of the ZIP archive is 9.9MB). The pack contains 16 individual audio sampels in AIFF format, as well as Ableton Live drum and instrument racks.
