EarthMoments has released Shruti Box, a free Ableton Live instrument featuring the sounds of a wooden shruti captured with tube microphones.
A Shruti Box is a small hand-pumped wooden instrument that provides a rich drone background as support to singing or playing almost any instrument. We have captured an organic wooden shruti at 96kHz using tube mics and preamps.
Shruti Box is available for free download via EarthMoments (a working email address and subscription to EarthMoments mailing list are required). If you’re unsure of what a shruti is, don’t miss the demo video which is embedded below!
