The Unfinished has released a set of 20 free patches for Absynth (compatible with Absynth 4 and Absynth 5), as a taster pack from their new Absynth Metaspace soundbank.
Abysnth Metaspace is a collection of 128 synth patches perfect for ambient music and modern electronic film scoring. You can also try a few sounds from the set by downloading the free demo from my Free Stuff page.
The free patches are available for download via The Unfinished’s Free Stuff page (1MB download size, no registration required). The full soundbank contains 128 patches and is priced at £14.99 (that’s roughly $24 or €19).

Very sorry, the above link to the Unfinished page for freebie testing’s – er – is unfinished, it comes up 404-Page Not Found!
Any chance of correcting the link so I can hear what the sounds sound like? And does anyone you know do decent-sounding synth-string sounds (like on old progressive rock records) or know anything that does them? I don’t mind them SOUNDING synthy at all, that’s the point, but GOOD synthy, not ‘there’s a cat scratching my ears out’ synthy!
