Francis Prève has released a set of free Ableton Live instruments featuring the sounds of his Dave Smith Instruments Prophet 08 analog synthesizer.
To celebrate hitting 10,000 fans on my Facebook page a couple of weeks back, I took a poll to see what synth in my studio you wanted me to sample next. The overwhelming response was my beloved Dave Smith Instruments Prophet 08.
The instruments are available for free download via Francis Prève’s website (10,6MB download size, 9 Ableton Simpler instruments in total).
Ableton Live 8.1.5 or higher is required in order to load the instrument files. If you’re like to use the sounds in another program, simply extract the contents of the Samples folder located inside the archive.
