Gimmick Mini by Ju-X Designs.
Ju-X Designs has released Gimmick Mini, a freeware software synthesizer in AudioUnit plugin format for Mac OSX 10.7 or later.
Gimmick is a new synthesizer with a new synthesis method. It generates oscillator waveform by considering how many times to twist. Invented extremely by Juno Ju-X.
Gimmick Mini is available for free download via Ju-X Designs (685kB download size, AU plugin format for Mac).
The synthesizer is based on a new form of synthesis, in which you tweak the oscillator waveform by choosing how many times it will be “twisted”. I have absolutely no idea how this works in practice, but it does seem like an interesting approach. :)
