Nick Dwyer (aka Whitebox Synth Makers) has released MOFO, a free Ableton Live instrument featuring a combination of four different sounds.
Four separate sounds that work together or singly, or in any combination you choose. I’ve taken a metallic sample with a long reverb as a bass pad, a glassy marimba edit to provide mid-range attack, a dark and nasty Tension string-scrape for edge and finally, the MOFO itself.
MOFO is available for free download via Whitebox Synth Makers (342kB download size, features 1 instrument for Ableton Live 9).
The rack allows you to mix a combination of four different sounds, in order to create a suitable timbre.
Please note that Ableton Live 9 is required in order to use this instrument (the Intro version of Live 9 will work just fine, Max for Live is not required).

onTake a Jimi Hendrix amp model, a couple of marimba samples off an early Beta of Live 9, some street bells, a Fairlight choir mix and balance them altogether into a lush, heady, slightly 80’s soundscaper.
