Hollow Sun has released JayPea, a cheap Native Instruments Kontakt library based on Roland Jupiter 8 samples.
Some time ago (a few years ago), an old friend of mine sent me some multi samples from a legendary brightly coloured, 8-voice analogue polysynth, made in Japan and named after the fifth rock (or gas giant) from the sun (I can’t be too careful in this litigious world).
JayPee is priced at 1GBP in the Hollow Sun online shop. The offer should end on August 1st, so hurry up!
The instrument is not imagined as a faithful recreation of the original instrument. It is, however, based on Roland Jupiter 8 samples and shares some functionality with its hardware counterpart.
Hollow Sun is known for its high quality sample libraries for Kontakt and its always a good idea to get their sounds at such a small price. I used their Roland Juno instrument and it’s definitely among the best virtual Junos out there!
