Korg Volca Beats Drum Rack by Liveschool.
Liveschool and Studios 301 have released Korg Volca Beats Drum Rack, an interesting free drum rack for Ableton Live.
This time round we have a pulled samples from the yet to be released Korg Volca Beats – Korg’s brand new analog drum machine.
Korg Volca Beats Drum Rack is available for free download via Liveschool (6.0 MB download size, contains 2 drum rack instruments in 1 ALP file for Ableton Live).
The drum rack is based on samples of the (still unreleased) Korg Volca Beats analogue drum machine. It is one of the three upcoming instruments in the upcoming Volca instrument collection by Korg. I must say that they all look yummy!
You’ll actually find two different drum racks when you install the ALP file. The first one sounds pretty close to the original, with raw samples which are almost left intact. The other one is pimped up with various effects and the samples themselves have been processed rather drastically.
Each included sample has been processed with some pretty cool studio gear. They’ve been recorded through n API 512c Lunchbox pre-amp and compressed and EQ’d with the famous SSL 9000k console. After this, the samples have been recorded in Ableton Live through the Apogee Rossetta 200 ADC.
