Bosomac has released Delight Delay, a freeware pattern based delay effect for Native Instruments Reaktor.

DELIGHT DELAY is a pattern-based delay controlled by a sequencer. A central display allows you to set the level and filtering rehearsals and so draw a pattern.

Delight Delay is available for free download via Boscomac’s website (209 kB download size, ZIP archive, contains 1 effect in ENS format for Native Instruments Reaktor).

Capable of generating both classic sounding echo effects and glitchy robotic delays, Delight Delay is a great tool for spicing out your sounds. Unlike most delay effects currently available on the freeware scene, Delight Delay features a built-in step sequencer which can be used to fully control the sound of the delay unit.

The effect supports up to 15 repetitions and tempo sync (ranging from 1/4 to 1/32). The number of repetitions, as well as volume and filtering for each repetition, are easily controlled by using the step sequencer which is located at the center of the GUI interface.

Delight Delay comes with three stereo modes: mono, stereo and ping-pong. A dry/wet control labeled Blending is also present on the main screen.

Please note that the full version of NI Reaktor is required in order to use Delight Delay without any limitations. It will work for 20 minutes in the freeware Reaktor Player, after which the playback will stop.

Boscomac has released loads of fantastic instruments and effects for NI Reaktor in the past. If you’re a Reaktor user, you simply owe it to yourself to download these tools and give them a go. I’m sure that you’ll find some keepers in his collection.
