Free ROLAND JD-800 Sample Collection Released By Legowelt

Legowelt has released a large collection of free audio samples captured from the ROLAND JD-800 digital hardware synthesizer.

The samples are available for free download via Legowelt (194 MB download size, ZIP archive, contains 350 audio samples in 24-bit WAV format).

ROLAND JD-800 was one of Roland’s flagship products in the early 90s. It was a digital synthesizer with a design somewhat similar to that of older analogue synthesizers. Fully covered in sliders and knobs, the JD-800 was a breath of fresh air among one-knob synthesizers such as the Alpha Juno.

Legowelt has captured a great collection of sounds from this synthesizer and shared them for free on his website. The samples are organized into six different groups: bass, FX, pads, sequence, string, and synth. All included samples are one shots (no multi-sampled instrument patches are included in this pack).

The samples sound great and you’ll love them if you’re a fan of classic 90s synthesizer sounds. The included samples are well edited and long enough to allow easy looping inside your favorite sampler.
