Audiomeals has announced that their new Multiplex Vocoder effect in VST plugin format for Mac will be free until December 5th.

Audiomeals has released Multiplex Vocoder, a prototype audio app conceived for music production, live sets and audio post-production. It’s a free download until 5th December, 2013, then it will cost $7.00.

Multiplex Vocoder is available for free download via Audiomeals (33.9 MB download size, ZIP archive, 32-bit VST plugin format for Mac).

To get your free copy of Multiplex Vocoder, visit the page linked above and click the Order Now button. Enter the required information and proceed with the purchase. The direct download link will then show up in your browser window (no need to check your email Inbox). This free offer expires on December 5th, after which the regular price of $7.00 will become active.

The plugin can load up to four 3rd party virtual synthesizers in VST plugin format, which are then used simultaneously to achieve the vocoding effect. This is a great idea which allows the users to utilize their favorite synthesizers for vocoding in such an easy way. The plugin features a 3-band parametric equalizer for each loaded instrument, as well as a switchable 100 Hz HP filter on the audio input. MIDI automation is also fully supported. More information about the product is available on the official website.

The great news is that Audiomeals will be offering a Windows version of Multiplex Vocoder in near future. In the meanwhile, if you’re looking for a freeware vocoder effect for Windows (and Mac!) take a look at our list of free vocoder VSTs. My favorite choice for Windows at the moment is the brilliant TAL-Vocoder by Togu Audio Line.

  1. This is NOT in vst format. Rather, it is just an app with which they provide instructions on how to route it to a daw with Soundflower.
