Z3TA Kicks – Free Synthesized Kick Drum Sample Pack By Snow Audio

Snow Audio has released Z3TA Kicks, a collection of drum samples which have been synthesized with the Cakewalk Z3TA+2 virtual analogue synthesizer.

Just letting you know about a kick sample pack I just released which includes plenty of free content (20 kicks and 10 Z3TA+2 presets to be exact). The kicks are individually processed and created with plenty of character for hip hop and other drum based music production.

The full version of Z3TA Kicks is priced at $7 and it contains 100 bass drum samples in 24-bit WAV format. The kicks have been synthesized with the Cakewalk Z3TA+2 synthesizer and then further processed with external effects in order to make the samples mix-ready. The included sounds are usable in various music styles, although the product page describes them as mostly suitable for use in hip hop tunes.

The free version of the pack contains 20 kick drums from the full library, along with an additional set of presets which can be loaded inside Z3TA+2. I previewed all of the sounds in the taster pack and there’s definitely some quality stuff inside. You should grab this one if you’re looking to expand your arsenal of synthesized kick drum one shots.

By the way, this kick drum collection isn’t the first freebie pack by Snow Audio. Back in March, they’ve released Liquid for Massive which contains a set of percussive samples synthesized with NI Massive.

Besides the fact that I like the quality of Snow Audio samples in general, I’m also a fan of the fact that they’re providing synthesizer presets along with rendered drum sounds. That’s pretty neat if you own that particular synthesizer and if you’d like to further tweak the provided drum sounds in order to fit them perfectly into your audio project or even modulate different parameters throughout the track.
