Wusik is giving away Wusik Station V8, their flagship workstation virtual instrument for PC and Mac. The promotion is launched on their Facebook page and it ends on August 24th.
So, here’s how you can grab your free (not for resale) Wusik Station V8 user license. First of all, please note that a Facebook account is required in order to claim your free copy. Once you’ve logged in to your account, follow the official Wusik.com page on Facebook and like + share this image on your wall. Finally, open a support ticket using this link (make sure to enter a valid email address). Your license should arrive within 72 hours after completing all of the steps listed above.
Wusik Station V8 is one of the most powerful workstation instruments around, offering a variety of synthesis types, sample playback, wave sequencing, complex envelopes, and plenty more awesome features for synthesis experts. It is one of those instruments that is limited by the user’s skill and imagination rather than the synthesizer’s feature set itself. Even if you don’t enjoy spending time tinkering with complex synthesizers, you can take advantage of the included factory presets, as well as the free and commercial Wusik Station V8 sound banks that are available online.
The instrument is available in VST/AU plugin formats for PC and Mac based digital audio workstations. It is normally priced at $79.95, so getting it for free is pretty much a “no brainer” deal. Anyways, Wusik Station V8 isn’t the first freebie offer we’ve seen from Wusik.com this year. Back in April, they gave away the excellent Wusik 4000 virtual instrument, which is based on the same sample pool as the one used in Wusik Station. Social media is the way that’s done these days for small companies without big budgets and big marketing departments. I don’t like it either, but that’s the way it is.

onDL worked fine after a few extra clicks to get the page to load. Not too bad considering the load that the fairly big soundsets must be putting on the server. Give them a break, this is a free DL and bandwidth isn’t.

onDoes anyone know if they ever fixed the text scaling problem with that bank-and-preset menu along the right hand side? I remember trying this a while back, and the font in that menu was squeezed so tight as to be illegible on any of my screens. I’ve always wanted to dig into WS, but little technical issues seem to trip up every version. Last time it was some issue with one of the extra Hyper banks that caused my machine to flat-out crash. This time, apparently, it’s the font rendering. Dev(s), please, please, pleeease beta-test this on as many different configs as you can… You guys are SO close to being awesome in my book!

onA day and half has past without being able to download from the Wusik server. This is typical of Guilherme Kalfelz and his software. It’s just not where it needs to be. Maybe if it’s free but I would get Xpand!2 for a $1 and forget this.

onHey this seems to be like good software that’s cool. I got Xpand2 for a buck phenomenal! Don’t have or want Facebook. Not mad that’s the requirements to get this that’s cool. I have so many great alternatives many due to BPB. I can pass on this. Maybe the WUSIK enthusiasts will make a video review on YouTube. If it’s that great I’ll pay for it!
