Michael Picher Releases HamOrg Lite Tonewheel Organ SFZ Library

0

New York based composer Michael Picher has introduced HamOrg Lite, a freeware tonewheel organ sample library in SFZ format (WAV samples also included in the download).

HamOrg Lite is the free version of HamOrg, based on a similar set of samples and featuring a slightly less powerful user interface. The free version comes with nine keyswitch presets and a single manual preset. It also lacks full drawbar support, percussion effects and multiple keyswitch presets that are included in the full version of the product.

When loaded in the free Sforzando player, the custom user interface provides direct control over the most essential sound parameters. Since the WAV files are also included in the download pack (22 individual samples), you can also create custom mappings in your sampler instrument of choice. The included samples sound very good and creating custom mappings won’t be too complicated because the amount of samples that are provided is relatively small.

The full version of HamOrg is priced at $35 and is available for purchase on the product page linked below. In addition to HamOrg Lite, Michael Picher is giving away several other SFZ libraries on his website, including a nice sounding vintage celesta and a pretty cool pocket synthesizer library cutoff, resonance and cross-modulation controls. No registration is required, the samples can be downloaded completely free of charge.

HamOrg Lite is available for free download via Michael Picher’s website (346 KB download size, ZIP archive, contains 22 audio samples in 24-bit WAV format, 1 patch in SFZ format for Plogue Sforzando).
