Waves Audio Lil Tube Is FREE During Black Friday!

Waves Audio just released Lil Tube, a tube saturation VST plugin that is available for FREE during Black Friday.

Lil Tube is a tube saturation plugin for digital audio workstations on Windows and macOS. It is available as a FREE download on Black Friday.

We recently covered the announcement that Waves Audio will release a freebie on Black Friday. Users we invited to sign up on the Waves Audio website and reserve their free plugin license.

So, this year’s Black Friday freebie by Waves Audio is the Lil Tube. It’s a streamlined tube saturation and distortion plugin that looks similar to Softube Saturation Knob and Soundtoys Little Radiator (which is free until January 2nd).

It also marks the launch of the Waves Magma plugin series from Waves Audio. We’re expecting to see more analog-inspired saturation and distortion tools in the same product line.

Lil Tube features a single Drive knob, an Output volume control, and three Sensitivity modes (Soft, Normal, and High). You can use it to color and enhance the signal using tube-style saturation.

Here’s how Waves Audio describes Lil Tube:

“Add rich tube fatness, texture & saturation on every track in your mix – your own tube console. Custom-modeled analog sound in the company of fabled tube preamps, Lil Tube is a plugin you’ll feel.”

According to the developers, you can use Lil Tube on anything, from instrument tracks and vocals to entire mixes. It is optimized for low CPU use, so using multiple instances in your DAW shouldn’t be a problem.

If you already signed up for the freebie, the download link should already be in your inbox. However, from our experience, the Black Friday giveaway usually slows down Waves Audio’s servers, so it’s quite possible that you’ll need to wait before your serial code arrives.

Alternatively, you can try signing up again (or using a different email address) to speed up the process. This approach worked for me in the past.

Waves Lil Tube is available in VST2, VST3, AU, and AAX plugin formats for Windows and macOS. Please note that this is a time-limited offer, so be sure to claim your free license while it’s available free of charge.

If you’re looking for something a little bit more versatile, check out our free BPB Saturator plugin.

  1. i though it was big or unique to the waves they take…

kinda disappointing i guess, it was typical tube saturation, way more easy to please my eyes but not the combinations or extended creativity.

  2. Not surprised I haven’t received my copy even though I signed up for it early on. Seeing what it actually is, I don’t even care with all the free saturation plugins we all already have. Especially with Soundtoys Little Radiator just been given away for free.

  3. Gave it a few test runs, it’s not too bad but nothing intricate. I prefer it over Little Radiator primarily because of the AGC and out knob featured on Lil Tube, but I think Softube’s Saturation Knob still takes first prize. I’d grab Lil Tube while you can. It’s a handy little saturation tool and seems to be a more “universal” sounding sat across different instruments & frequency ranges.

  4. I also signed up earlier and didn’t recieve anything. I had to just go to their site and click on ‘GET IT FREE’ on the product page and re-enter my email and I got the license.

    • Thanks for the tip! I hope it will work this time, but have to wait to find out.

‘Your free plugin is estimated to arrive by email within 2-4 hours.’
