  1. I would like to see a Sampler with “humanizing” options, maybe something like what Sitala had.

    Thanks for the chance!

  2. Hello Tomislav, I want to start off by saying I love your site and congratulations on your success! The Inferno SFX Deluxe preview video was so impressive! Flame Sounds does an amazing job creating cinematic effects. I can only imagine the things my band could do with all those sounds. We really have a big interest in using cinematic effects in our metal music but haven’t found the right pack or VST’s yet. As for the VST suggestion, it would be next level if you guys created a user-friendly wave table syth for cinematic sounds. There really aren’t any out there, at least as far as I know! Thanks

  3. I would love to see a powerful synth, be it a modular synth or a granular synth. BPB Synth should be able to play along the top guns such serum or pigments considering the quality of all the vsts made so far.

  4. A PLUGIN THAT POPULATES YOUR LIBRARY WITH EFFECTS, INSTRUMENTS, SOUND AND PRESETS BASED ON THE SONG YOU SELECTED

Listen, this is a good idea: we need a plugin that contains a library of effects presets based on famous songs.

For example, I want to make a song sound like Faint from Linkin Park.

I search for Linkin Park Faint preset and the result will show me all effects applied for drums, guitar, voice, bass, scratch, along with their preset values and suggestions of instruments.

This collection of effects can be either your own, or a selection of third party plugins that you can pay for and download. So basically, it is a search engine for effects, instruments and presets, depending on the song you selected, so a producer no longer has to do that search and test and twitch, which takes a lot of hours.

Then, I can select any of the effects and apply them on my instruments, chain them, change order, or import them as they were chained in the original song.

  5. A multi instrumental plug-in, that has woodwinds, strings, synths, bass, bells, etc similar to Omnisphere (By Spectrasonics) so the user cannot be limited to certain genres when it comes to making music, or….. alternatives to guitar rig 6 (By Native Instruments) and Portal (By Output)

I’ve been using the trail version of fl studio 20 for 3 years, so finally winning a copy might not limit me as it has for so long, so this big to me

  7. @Tomislav and staff,

Thank you for a great year of “BedroomProducerBlog” goodness!

A would say, for 2023, another great synthesizer or EQ would be very much welcomed.

    Happy holidays!

    Your loyal fan,
    -Leo

  8. I would like to see an EQ (preferably with dynamics control) to complete the BPB MIX RACK.

    Currently we have :
    – bpb Saturator
    – bpb Dirty Filter
    – bpb Dirty LA (compressor)
    – bpb Dirty Spring (reverb)

I wonder how a song mixed with bpb plugins only would turn out ? I’m pretty sure it’ll sound good.

  9. A compressor that can somehow show you the output waveform of the compressed audio or the audio you’re compression. A visual of how the vocal is being compressed. That would help alot of people easily understand how a compressor is working

  10. A choir plugin!
I know its hard to make one but its so hard to find a free choir plugin that actually sounds good, can be used in different genres and has multiple articulations.

  11. I would like to see more unusual plugins that make something incredible and unusual out of the sound, like the Digitalis, ShaperBox, Driftmaker, Quanta plugins.

  12. I’d love to see some multi-effect made by BPB with full control over the pre- and post- sound design process.
Imagine a vst like glitch2 + convolution, saturation, eq and comp section before the actual output!
    It’d be amazing!

  13. Happy Holidays to BPB and the readers of this wonderful online magazine! I come here every day to learn something new! I really want to see a reverb plugin next year! I love OrilRiver, I would like this plugin to be continued to develop and it has left the beta stage, otherwise 5 years have passed and there is still no development.

  14. Spectral processor with advanced features (at least for a freebie) for manipulating the frequency spectrum of audio signals.

  15. I’d love to see a glitchy granular plugin, either as an effect like Emergence but with BPB’s simple design ethos, or even an instrument using samples to generate granular sounds!

  16. Something like FL Studio’s vst sampling tool, which unfortunalety only works with their proprietary sample format. That would be a true gamechanger.

  17. A tall order, but maybe a simple DAW for music education, with a few audio tracks and a MIDI recording function with notation display, to help introduce children to music and recording.

  18. A plugin that combines 2 seperate vst instruments so we can create even more complex sounds/rythms !

    Happy New year !

  19. A plugin that provides a set of advanced tools for editing and manipulating audio in real-time, such as time stretching, pitch shifting, and more, could be a valuable addition

  20. I would like a granular synth + midi functionality (and maybe build-in BPB’s style effects)
We don’t have enough midi synths and/or effects out there so having one of those would be really nice
If that is a little too big of a project then maybe a small drum sequencer with a nice workflow and midi grooves line presets
The drum sequencer is much more practical and will be loved by everyone

  21. i would really like to see a good plugin that will include good eq, effects like noise and reverb, delay, it would be nice if it works like a deelay, and of course chorus and flanger

  22. I would like to see a sampler that’s has the ability to seperate low, mids and highs and play with frequencies to kill all the sounds it can

  23. A phase vocoder plugin with advanced time and pitch manipulation features could be a useful tool for experimental musicians and sound designers.

  24. Sooo… maybe an effect processor that allows users to design their own custom effects chains could be a great way to add unique processing?

    • What would be new, or unique? We have so much available to us now. I still think there is room for a creative Sampler, one that combines ease of use with tweak-able parameters. Waves came out with one not too long ago, paired with a sample library search editor, which I like but I am not a fan of the Waves update-payment model.

  25. i would love to see bpb release the bacon and egg sizzler

the graphic is a pan with some eggs and bacon

and you turn up the sizzle knob ( and the bacons and eggs face changes ) some compression and eq

and then you got the more fat knob
( the graphic adds in more oil )

    some dirt and saturation effects

this is what we need in our lives a great effects and some fun ( better free version of sausage fattener.

  26. well, some kind of Multi effects would be great i guess… they’re never enough, and the they can give really creative results :)

  27. I’m still looking for a good sounding and easy to use multiband compressor with a simple and clean GUI. Maybe that’s something BPB could have a go at? Anyway, thank you for everything you have done for us. I wish you and your team a happy and healthy 2023.

    • Hello, thanks a lot for your work and this great newsletter, it’s very useful for us music producers and sound explorers! 😊

      I have so many plugins allready… 😅
But if I could get one more… I’d like a MPE compatible Speach synthesizer… Let’s say you could type a word and assign it to a midi note, and trigger one word per key with a MPE midi keyboard that allow you to modulate the voice parameters depending on the velocity, glide, aftertouch… 😁

  28. A summing mixer emulation, as far as I know, there isn’t a free one, Analog Obsession used to have one, but is not longer compatible with the newer operative systems on Mac (I’m not sure in Windows or Linux). Also, If we use Reaper there is the one from Tukan plugins, but only works on Reaper actually. So please BPB!

  29. A more affordable, decent quality full orchestral library with legato, some dynamic layers and round robin that doesn’t need paid sampler would be nice

I mean, it pretty frustating when you search affordable library because you broke, and then see the library need to be used with sampler that priced even more expensive than premium library

  30. I’d love to see BPB release a plug-in that has knobs similar to the One Knob Waves plugins, only have each of them in one giant kit. A fun tweakable tool box that fattens, wettens, and whatever else! A wicked sound design toolbox ❤️

  31. Would absolutely love to see some form of sequencer(analog step style with computer twist) either that or a solid twin delay!

  32. Lyrical Glitch

    on

I would love to see BPB release an EQ plugin like Pro Q3!!!!! Def would be helpful and it would be a quality plugin

  33. Vocoder with a more modern UI design, current best free ones have a vintage vibe and the UIs aren’t particularly easy to use.

  34. I’d like to see a Drum-Synthesizer, where you also could use samples to create different drums, like Kicks, Claps, Hihats or percussion.
Maybe a mixture of “Kick 2″, ” Drumazon” and “VPS Metrum”.
Good luck to everyone, and a happy new year!

  36. I’d like to see ALL important and known plugins working in Linux as easy as in Windows or Mac. Not for free, I understand Waves has its own prices, for example.
But I think this would be great news for Linux audio producers.

Always love quirky synths with complex tones, a ton of effect options to slather on those tones, lots of arpeggiation options, and All The Presets.

Well, if possible -a pitch plugin that can really do justice to changes especially in the human voice. Or an additive plugin -very rich in potential, though admittedly not the easiest thing to get one’s head around.

  39. A Randomizer/Sequencer that can easily manipulate Midi, Arps, Dynamics, Automation, and Effects very quickly and efficiently while humanizing the Algorithm’s rhythms and patterns. If that is a bit too much, then how about a handy Random Radio/TV/Social Media Recorder/Sampler? Perhaps a plugin that keeps you focused and on a time limit to completely finish your songs so you don’t end up just making random beats or waste time and energy on mixing/editing before the song is even composed and arranged? I guess you could make it into a task/goal setting vst that could be made into a game with points/trophies/labels and levels after each accomplishment? Just my 2 cents. Thanks for all the great articles, research, opinions, and giveaways! Always look forward to reading your newsletters…

I will like a reverb plugin, with a special focus on vocal reverb, to have that perfect space. Thanks for the opportunity and good luck for everyone.
