Get Klevgrand’s DAW LP FREE With Any Purchase Over At AudioDeluxe

AudioDeluxe offers the DAW LP plugin by Klevgrand as a free add-on with any purchase in August.

Ah, the monthly rollover of freebies is something I await with bated breath. I generally will make an ill-advised purchase on the basis of it being freely bundled with something else I’m interested in. Eventually, I ignore both plugins and just about my day using the same handful of plugins I usually work with.

All that aside, AudioDeluxe has a wonderfully fun freebie available in the form of DAW LP from Klevgrand. This runs through the month of August, so you’ve got plenty of time to wait on a particular sale.

DAW LP is a companion to DAW Cassette, one of my favorite sound degraders. DAW LP, as the name might suggest, emulates the flaws and imperfections of vinyl records.

Controls are dead simple, with a quartet of knobs and a quartet of sliders to do most of the heavy lifting. You can keep things relatively pristine with a slight coat of dust and saturation if desired.

If you’d prefer sonic mayhem, you can make it sound wobblier than the most obvious of lo-fi tracks. DAW LP is a great sonic addition to anyone’s arsenal and shines on certain materials.

I especially love it on more realistic drums, like the loops I assemble in BFD3. It is also absolutely stunning on electric piano, where that slight wavering on a pristine Rhodes can really hammer in a certain mood.

DAW LP is just plain fun to use and is certainly worth whatever ill-advised purchase you might have cooked up while browsing AudioDeluxe this month. It usually retails for $39.99, but you certainly can’t beat the cost of free with an included purchase.

DAW LP is available for Mac, Windows, and iPad. Supported plugin formats are VST, VST3, AU, and AAX. It is Apple Silicon compatible, which is great if you’re looking for more digital dust on your M1 or M2 device.

This article only covers the Windows and Mac versions. As far as I can tell, no one has made any gestures to gifting iPad audio apps, sadly.

Another free option is the Lost-Vinyls plugin by Superfly DSP.
