Audio Plugin Deals is currently offering the London Symphonic Strings Kontakt library by Aria Sounds for just $39, which is 89% off the retail price of $360.

The deal is exclusively available on the Audio Plugin Deals product page for London Symphonic Strings. The sale will expire on February 20, 2024.

The huge 42 GB sample library requires the paid version of Native Instruments Kontakt (5.8.1 or above) and, unfortunately, is not compatible with the free Kontakt Player.

London Symphonic Strings features the five sections from a standard string ensemble, which are First Violins, Second Violins, Violas, Cellos and Double Basses.

Aria Sounds states that these sections have been “recorded in stunning 24-bit, 48 kHz quality with a multitude of articulations and true legato, creating some of the most realistic strings in the world!”

The samples were recorded with Neumann and Schoeps mics in four mic positions (Close, Main, Rigs and Room) in a “beautiful sounding hall.”

Furthermore, Aria Sounds explains that the whole string section was recorded in “the correct orchestral seating positions, so when you load up the library, each section is correctly positioned in the stereo image, according to how the players are traditionally [seated].”

The developer also went to the trouble of including multiple true legato patches in each section, providing realistic note transitions.

The library includes an exhaustive list of articulations for each section, so if you really want to create detailed and customized string parts that sound like the real deal, then London Symphonic Strings will be right up your alley.

Aria Sounds released London Symphonic Strings as its flagship product back in April 2015, though they’ve aged quite well and still deliver plenty of sonic goodness.

The demos hosted on the official Aria Sounds London Symphonic Strings product page sound truly epic and really showcase how gorgeous the samples can sound.

Here’s a breakdown of how much space is dedicated to each section in the sample library: First Violins (4.8 GB), Second Violins (11 GB), Violas (7.5 GB), Cellos (9 GB) and Double Basses (8 GB).

Each section has its own custom articulations recorded, with the First Violins section having by far the most extensive list of articulations, as you’d expect from a lead instrument.
