The latest issue of Computer Music magazine includes a free copy of the CM-EQUA 87 equalizer by eaReckon on the cover DVD.
This beautiful analogue-esque EQ plug-in for PC/Mac (VST/AU) is all yours, complete with spectral analyser, limiter and more!
CM-EQUA 87 is also included in the digital edition of the magazine, which can be purchased for £2.49 (+ taxes) in the Zinio online shop.
The plugin is a lite version of eaReckon’s PR-EQUA 87 (pictured above) analog modeled equalizer plugin. I’m not yet sure what are the limitations of the CM version, though. Judging by the description on the website it includes the built-in spectral analyzer and limiter.
To check out some other free stuff by eaReckon, download their limiter plugin which is included in BPB’s round up of the best freeware limiters for Windows and Mac. The CM-EQUA 87 limiter is based on its algorithm.
UPDATE: I saw the screenshot of CM-EQUA 87 on the cover of CM #184 and have noticed that this version of the plugin has 3 bands (as opposed to 4 bands found in the full version).
