Waveshaper Releases Moscow Disco MkII And Intros Kontakt Instruments

Waveshaper has released the Moscow Disco MkII drum sample pack (including 49 free samples) and announced the release of four NI Kontakt instruments.

I am glad to announce the release of the MkII version of WaveShaper’s Moscow Disko drumsample pack, a collection of hand-crafted samples from a very rare russian drumsynth. Built like a tank with a funky design, you will be surprised by the raw sound of the ultra-rare Marsh UDS drum synth.

The Moscow Disco MkII taster pack is available for free download via Waveshaper (2.1 MB download size, ZIP archive, contains 49 drum samples in 16-bit WAV format).

The full version of Moscow Disco MkII is priced at $6.90 and contains a collection of 600 drum samples recorded from a rare Russian drum machine. The Marsh UDS is a vintage analogue instrument from the Soviet era, with an unusual quirky sound. I’ve sampled a similar drum machine called Lell UDS and released those sounds in the free BPB Mini Analogue Collection sample pack.

Waveshaper has also announced that NI Kontakt kits are now available for his 12-bit Drummer, Plasticid MkII, Kr55, and Algo Operator sample packs. The Kontakt kits add $1 to the full price of the kit.

I seriously love Waveshaper drum samples. They’re right on par with Goldbaby and ToneBuilder releases quality-wise, however Waveshaper has sampled some pretty unique and rare gear which you’ll hardly find anywhere else. Seriously check his stuff out if you’re into drum machines and cool electronic drum sounds! All of his sample packs come with 100% free taster versions so that’s a nice bonus, too.
