CrazyClipz 2.0 – Freeware Clipper VST/AU Plugin For Mac OS

CrazyClipz 2.0 is a freeware clipper VST/AU plugin for Mac OS X, developed by Synthetic Brain and hosted on Bedroom Producers Blog with the developer’s permission.

The effect is currently compatible with Mac OS X only, available as a VST/VST3/AU plugin for 32-bit & 64-bit host applications. The developer told us that a Windows release might happen in the future, however it isn’t ranked very high on the list of priorities at the moment.

CrazyClipz 2.0 is a simple hard clipper effect featuring a straightforward one-knob user interface (although the new 2.0 update has introduced the additional input and output controls which come with their own set of knobs). The plugin can be used to apply hard clipping distortion to any sound source, whereas the amount of distortion is determined by the amplitude of the signal on the input and the value of the “Distortion” parameter.

“Synthetic Brain” is an independent artist/music producer from Moscow, Russia. He works in several music styles and is also a professional programmer. You can follow his work on his SoundCloud page, as well as his YouTube channel and Facebook profile.
