Bedroom Producers Blog releases BPB Saturator Plus, an upgraded version of our free analog-style saturation plugin for Windows & macOS.
BPB Saturator Plus is the refreshed and expanded follow-up to our original BPB Saturator plugin.
It keeps everything people loved about the first version, including tube drive, tape-style saturation, transparent filters, and low CPU use.
But it also introduces several long-requested features and a brand new saturation flavor. It’s still lightweight, still easy to use, and still completely free.
What’s new in BPB Saturator Plus?
The headline addition is Diode Saturation, a third drive mode developed by the same DSP wizard who created La Petite Excite and the original BPB Saturator.
The diode circuit has a smoother, rounder character than the tube mode. It’s slightly warmer, slightly softer on the transients, and great for adding gentle harmonic weight to synths, bass, or anything that needs a touch of analog “glow.”
Another highly requested feature is the new Mix control. It allows for instant parallel saturation, making it easy to blend the clean and distorted signals.
You can now drive the tube, tape, or diode circuits as hard as needed while preserving transients, low-end clarity, and the overall shape of the original sound.
This makes BPB Saturator Plus much more flexible for drum processing, parallel buses, and subtle mix-bus coloration.
We also reworked some internal code and removed heavy UI elements from the previous build. The plugin now loads faster, uses less memory, and feels more responsive overall.
The interface is still resizable. Right-click the background or click the 4K button to instantly double the GUI size.
