342 Free Modular Synth Samples Released By MusicRadar

9

MusicRadar has released a set of 342 free modular synth samples, previously featured on Computer Music magazine’s cover DVD.

Continuing the synth riff from last week’s SampleRadar, our latest collection features sounds from a modular analogue creation. This Eurorack machine contains modules from the likes of Doepfer, Plan B, Make Noise and Bananalogue, and you’ll be able to experience its charms very soon.

The modular synth samples are split into two folders: FX and Loops. All the samples are supplied as 24-bit WAV files so can be imported directly into your DAW or sampler of choice. Because they’re royalty-free, you’re welcome to use the samples in your music in any way you like – all we ask is that you don’t re-distribute them.

The samples are available for free download via MusicRadar.

  1. How can you recommend THIS?

The loops sound more earsplitting than tinnitus. IMO this is the worst sample library ever released. I’ve nearly got my ears damaged by hearing them. These times are gone as good quality loops were given away by Musicradar. Now there’s only crab…

  2. I have to agree with Tricky Loops. Almost everything posted here at bpb is of good or even better quality. But shortly after discovering this blog I started avoiding all MusicRadar samples like the plague. They are all s**t! Every pack sounds the same, Hiphop, Dubstep, Pop, whatever. It’s harsh mono-files of a dude recoding a one take session with his old cheap synth in audacity, every time. Bäh!

haven’t downloaded this particular pack, but yeah – i did like some old MusicRadar packs, yet some other ones were really bad. thing is i don’t always have time to test all the freebie stuff i cover in the news section before posting.

now i’ll have to download this one and see if it’s really so terrible! never had people complain about the stuff i feature on BPB yet. :D

but that’s cool – feel free to complain in the comments, that should help me pick better stuff in the future!

  3. Yeah, same here, I don’t want to complain about this blog. It’s awsome, don’t change anything! I just felt the need to share my dislike of these MusicRadar samples with the world. :)
