Yamaha DSR-500 drum kit by Sampleria.
Sampleria has released a collection of free drum samples captured from the Yamaha DSR-500 toy FM synthesizer keyboard.
We just released Yamaha DSR-500 Drum Kit, a free collection of drum and percussion one shot samples recorded from a vintage Yamaha DSR-500 FM synthesizer home keyboard.
The samples are available for free download via Sampleria (1.5 MB download size, ZIP archive, contains 73 drum samples in 16-bit WAV format).
The Yamaha DSR-500 is a toy FM keyboard which was manufactured in the 80s (the model was introduced in 1988). It was similar to other Yamaha toy keyboards which were manufactured at the time, with FM preset sounds and accompanying drum loops.
Sampleria has recorded the drum loops from this toy keyboard and edited them into drum one shot samples. The pack includes 73 drum samples in total, with 18 kicks, 10 snares, 14 hi-hats, and 31 percussion samples.
