Modular Chaos Engine by Sound Dust.

Sound Dust has announced the release of Tiny Chaos Engine Evolved, a free version of their brand new Modular Chaos Engine instrument bundle. They are also kindly giving away four copies of the full version of the product to three lucky BPB readers!

A tiny but perfectly formed free version of the Modular Chaos Engine #2. Instead of 1106 samples you get 24, but it still sounds pretty nifty.

The free version of Modular Chaos Engine instrument library is called Tiny Chaos Engine and it comes with 24 audio samples of DSi Evolver instead of the 1106 included in the full version of the product. All the features of the custom NI Kontakt interface are included in the free version though, so it can be used to generate some very interesting sequences even with the reduced sample set.

Modular Chaos Engine is available in two different flavors:

  • Modular Chaos Engine #1 – Found is a virtual drum machine powered by a collection of organic percussive sounds which have been recorded binaurally. The library contains 785 organic percussion samples in total, along with a powerful sequencing engine which strongly accents chaotic and random sequencing.
  • Modular Chaos Engine #2 – Evolved is a sequencer instrument powered by 1106 high quality samples of the Dave Smith Instruments Evolver hybrid analog synthesizer. The built-in sequencing engine is similar to the one featured in the Found version of the library, with a handful of nifty parameters for generating random sequences.

Not so long ago, Sound Dust has released another version of the Tiny Chaos Engine sound library, based on the collection of weird percussive samples from the Modular Chaos Engine #1 – Found library. You can still download those samples for free from the Sound Dust website.

To grab your free copy of the new Tiny Chaos Engine Evolved library, you’ll need to submit your name and email address on the product page linked below. The download link will be delivered to the provided email address. Mailing list subscription is optional.
