And now, welcome to BPB’s monthly Music Challenge thread. This month’s challenge is to create a track using only these two as the sound sources:
You can’t use any additional synthesizers, real instruments, recordings, or samples.
You can use any sampler or audio editor for the Cinematic Sounds pack (but only use these samples in it). You can also use any number of audio effects for processing.
Wait, no drums?
Yes, let’s try to find our way around that limitation. There’s plenty of percussive material in Cinematic Sounds (perfect for slicing, layering, and warping), and TyrellN6 is an incredibly versatile beast.
Last month’s entries were fantastic, and listening to what you came up with was lots of fun. I promise I’ll be joining in with an entry this month.
This is not a competition, just a creative challenge. Please share your entries as SoundCloud (or similar) links in the comments below. I will collect them all here and share them in the BPB newsletter at the end of the month.
