Charlatan VSTi Updated To v1.4!

BlauKraut Engineering has released v1.4 of Charlatan, a rather simplistic yet great sounding virtual analogue synthesizer for Windows.

Charlatan is a polyphonic, subtractive virtual analog (VA) synthesizer plugin with design focus on sound quality and easy usability.

Charlatan is available for free download via BlauKraut Engineering (736kB download size, 32-bit & 64-bit VSTi plugin format for Windows).

The new version of Charlatan introduces two useful improvements. The white noise generator is now now separate from OSC1 and the other oscillator now features a narrow pulse waveform. The GUI is also updated and several bugs have been fixed. I still haven’t tested if the new version is compatible with old presets.

Charlatan is one of my favorite synthesizers and my go-to instrument for analogue sounds. It’s easy on the CPU and sounds very organic. You can find an alternative skin for Charlatan on KVR Audio.
